Atasözleri,
toplumların yaşam karşısındaki tutum, davranış ve düşüncelerini ifade eden özlü
sözlerdir. Onların deneyim ve yaşam biçimlerini yansıtır. Toplumların
kültürleri içerisinde önemli bir yere sahiptir ve bilgelik unsurlarıdır. Bu
yönüyle atasözlerinin kapsamı çok geniştir. Bu
çalışmada, “suyla ilgili atasözlerindeki çevre-doğa ve çevre eğitimine yönelik
bilgelik unsurları” ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi
kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak nitel araştırmalarda sıklıkla tercih
edilen doküman incelemesi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Derlenen atasözlerinin
bilgilendirici, öğretici olduğu kadar uyarıcı olduğu da görülmektedir. Bu
nedenle atasözlerinin diğer branşlarda olduğu kadar, çevre eğitiminde de de
kullanılabileceği söylenebilir.
Proverbs
are concise words that express the attitudes, behaviors, and thoughts of
societies in relation to life. It reflects their experience and way of life. It
has an important place in the cultures of the societies and is the elements of
wisdom. In this study, the elements of wisdom about environment-nature and
environmental education in proverbs related to water have been discussed. In
this study, qualitative research method was used. Data collection in
qualitative research is often preferred as a means of document analysis
techniques were utilized. It is also seen that the compiled proverbs are as
stimulating as informative, instructive.
For this reason, it can be said that the proverbs can be used in
environmental education as much as they are in other branches.
