In this study, teachers' intentions to leave their jobs and the underlying reasons for this were examined. The study was conducted with 30 teachers working in the city center of Isparta, who were selected using the criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling types. When the intentions of teachers to leave the profession were examined in the research, the most important reasons underlying the intention of teachers working in public schools to leave the profession were determined to be "parent pressure" and "insufficient salary", while the most important reason underlying the intention of private school teachers to leave the profession was determined to be "parent pressure." t has been determined that the most important reason why public and private school teachers do not quit their jobs despite their intentions to do so is "financial hardship." The most important suggestions for solutions for these reasons encountered by public and private school teachers participating in the study were determined as “parent education” and “financial arrangements.” Among the most important solution suggestions for the reasons that private school teachers encounter apart from these are "regulations regarding state-private school differences."
